Tales from the Amusement Park
A New Musical Theatre Song Cycle
Tales from the Amusement Park is a musical theatre song cycle written and directed by Matt Villar. It was premiered at Arizona State University in March 2023, and was curated for The Festival of New American Theatre at The Phoenix Theatre Company in April. This fun and upbeat cycle focuses on the nostalgia of a day in the amusement park. It features a cast of twelve, plus one onstage pianist.

Stardust
"Stardust" is a original choral work with words and music by Matt Villar. It was completed as part of an independent study with Dr. Jace Koholokula Saplan. The piece was premiered in Katzin Concert Hall by the Arizona State University Concert Choir in March 2023. "Stardust" explores the oneness of humankind, regardless of the space and time which separates individuals.

It Begins to Rain
This is a solo piano work, written as part of a series of four pieces that premiered during "The Covid Days." It is performed by Dr. Kristie Janczyk.
Just Breathe (Wings of Angels)
Dedicated to Gracie Anne Muehlberger and Dominic Blackwell. Performed by Hart Show Choir, as directed by Sarah Anders.
